A professional company, PLM Lake and Land Management Corp., has been chemically treating Lake Bel-Air for many years for the control of an aquatic nuisance (Weed and Algae Treatment) under permits from the Michigan Environment Great Lakes and Energy Department (EGLE). They advise, in writing, all members of the planned annual treatment dates. They treat the lake from spring till summer on various occasions, under the supervision of the Weed Control Chairperson. That Committee member, presently Dan Laws, advises all members in advance of the particular treatment dates.
